Beauty, skincare and lifestyle Swatch and Review

Hey guys, it’s Chronicles here, your average American fashion lover running this little blog. I gotta vent about my total nightmare at Saks Fifth Avenue – and yeah, this was during their saks fifth avenue sale with that gift card promo. What a joke!

A person looking frustrated while holding a shopping bag from Saks Fifth Avenue, representing a bad shopping experience.

So, I splurged $2000+ on two pieces to snag that $300 gift card they were hyping. I swear I applied the promo code at checkout – double-checked everything. Waited days… nothing. Hit up customer service, and boom, they claim I never applied it. Are you kidding me? My blood’s boiling! If you can’t honor your own saks fifth avenue sale deals, don’t offer ’em. Blaming the customer? That’s just straight-up shady, like they’re trying to weasel out of it.

But wait, it gets worse. Clothes arrive – tags clipped off already?! And the sweater? Reeks of this super pungent perfume. My roommate’s like, “Is that normal?” Nah, dude, this ain’t fresh-out-the-box scent. Smells like it’s been worn forever and doused in cheap spray. Gross!

A close-up of clothing tags that have been cut off, next to a garment that appears to have an unpleasant odor, illustrating poor product condition.

And the grand finale? Returns. They wanna charge me shipping for mailing it back. I tell the rep, “This is YOUR mess – why am I paying?” Zero apologies the whole time. I straight-up say, “This has been a bad shopping experience,” and she just goes, “No problem.” Haha, no problem?! Lady, everything’s a problem!

Look, maybe the quality flop was bad luck, but their customer service? Trash across the board from multiple reps. Steer clear of saks fifth avenue sale promos, y’all – not worth the headache!

Who Shops at Saks Fifth Avenue? Let’s Break It Down.

Additionally, I also want to discuss with everyone the question of who shops at Saks Fifth Avenue, as many people have asked me about it. Let’s break it down real quick, no fluff.

Overall Vibe

Saks shoppers? We’re all chasing that bougie luxury high. We want:

  • Big-name brands that scream status.
  • Curated, top-shelf stuff that’s rare and feels premium AF.
  • Service that treats you like royalty – it’s part of the deal.
  • Everything from designer threads to bags, kicks, and makeup.

The Four Squads

  • 1. Luxury Die-HardsHunting U.S. and global designer drops. Snagging heirloom pieces or hyped-up must-haves before they’re gone.
  • 2. Brand StansHere for the lineup. Bags? Chanel, YSL, Prada. Shoes? Manolo, Louboutin, Jimmy Choo. Brand first, everything else second.
  • 3. Beauty JunkiesLiving in the beauty halls. Obsessed with high-end or niche makeup and fragrance – Dior, La Mer, all the fancy stuff.
  • 4. Service SnobsWant the red-carpet treatment. Pro styling tips, white-glove vibes – the shopping experience has to slap.

That’s the Saks crowd in a nutshell, y’all. Luxury chasers with specific tastes and zero patience for basic.
